The Local Business Revolution Starts Here

We exist to ensure that small and medium-sized businesses aren't left behind as AI transforms how customers find and choose services.

The Invisible Business Crisis

Right now, across King County and the Puget Sound region, local businesses are losing clients they don't even know exist.

When someone searches Google for a local service, they're increasingly seeing AI-generated summaries at the top of results. Google's "AI Overviews" answer questions directly, often without the searcher ever clicking through to a website. If your business isn't optimized for these AI systems, you're invisible to customers before they even start looking.

The same thing happens when people ask ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity for recommendations. AI platforms are making choices about which businesses to surface. Most local practices never appear in those results, not because they're not qualified, but because they're optimized for search patterns that are rapidly becoming obsolete.

Many businesses are still using strategies built for a different era of search. The tools and tactics that worked five years ago simply aren't designed for how people discover services today. Meanwhile, larger competitors with substantial marketing budgets dominate through expensive campaigns that small and medium-sized businesses can't afford.

This is happening whether business owners realize it or not. People use AI to make decisions about local services every day, and most don't even realize it.

The gap is widening. The businesses that understand this shift will own their local markets for the next decade. Those who don't will wonder where all their clients went.

Our Mission: Level the Playing Field

Olin Group exists to give local businesses the same AI visibility advantages that enterprise companies already exploit, but at a scale and price point that actually works for small and medium-sized practices. Our service tiers are designed for different stages of readiness.

We're here to ensure that when potential clients in your area are using AI to research services, your business is present, credible, and recommended.

This isn't about chasing algorithms. It's about building sustainable visibility in a world where AI assistants are becoming the primary way people discover and evaluate local businesses.

How We're Different

We understand AI and, more importantly, what local businesses need.

Data-Driven

Our 2026 AI Visibility Index is an ongoing research initiative benchmarking hundreds of local businesses across King County. As we work with clients, this dataset grows stronger, creating a feedback loop where collective insights improve outcomes for everyone.

Local-Focused

We optimize for local competition, not enterprise scale. Your success isn't measured against Amazon. It's measured against the practice three miles away.

Transparent

We pull back the curtain. You'll understand what we're doing, why it matters, and how to maintain it. No black boxes, no jargon shields.

The businesses that adapt to AI search now, while it's still early, will dominate their local markets. AI isn't waiting for anyone to get comfortable. Neither should you.

A Different Kind of Consultant

I've spent over a decade leading facilities and operational infrastructure for organizations across the healthcare and technology sectors. These are environments where precision, data, and human impact all matter equally.

I was an early adopter of AI tools, not because they were trendy, but because I could see how fundamentally they would change how work gets done. I've always told my teams that AI itself won't replace people, but people who understand how to use AI will have a significant advantage over those who don't.

That same shift is happening right now for local businesses. Just like in operations management, the businesses that recognize this early and adapt methodically will thrive. Those who ignore it will struggle to understand why their tried-and-true marketing suddenly stopped working.

I started Olin Group because I saw local businesses (good businesses, run by skilled professionals) being left behind by a technology shift they didn't even know was happening. I saw fear and uncertainty paralyzing action. I saw an opportunity to bring the same AI visibility strategies that enterprise companies use to local businesses, at a scale and price point that actually works for practices in our community.

I'm based in Enumclaw, Washington, where I live with my family. I grew up in Maple Valley and have deep roots in King County and the broader Puget Sound region. I believe in supporting local businesses. You'll find me at farmers' markets, sourcing from local CSAs, and buying from area farms whenever possible. This isn't performative. It's how I think communities should work.

If you're a local business owner trying to figure out how to stay visible as AI reshapes search, I'd welcome the chance to show you what's actually happening and what you can do about it. Get in touch to talk through your situation.
